Delete your 2nd Phone Line account

Deleting your account destroys your data and releases your numbers. It is not a pause and it cannot be undone.

This page is for 2nd Phone Line, the app by CircleRoll LLC on the App Store and Google Play.

Delete in the app

  1. Open 2nd Phone Line and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings, then Account.
  3. Tap Delete account, read what will be lost, and confirm.

The deletion runs straight away, and we email you when it is done.

No longer have the app?

Enter the email address you sign in with. We send a message to that address with a link to confirm, so nobody can delete your account but you. Nothing is deleted until you open the link and confirm.

If you used Sign in with Apple and chose to hide your email, your sign-in address ends in privaterelay.appleid.com. You can find it in your Apple Account settings under Sign in with Apple.

You can also email hello@2ndphoneline.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it.

What is deleted

  • Your account, sign-in details and settings
  • Your numbers, which are released. A released number is held, unassigned, for 90 days before it returns to the carrier, so its next owner never receives messages meant for you.
  • Your texts, picture messages, attachments and drafts
  • Your call history, voicemail, transcripts and recorded greetings
  • Contacts, blocked numbers, quick replies, scheduled messages and auto-reply rules saved in the app
  • Any documents you uploaded for a number in a country that requires them
  • Your credit balance and credit history. Unused credits are not refunded.
  • Your referral code and push notification tokens
  • The link to your Apple ID, if you used Sign in with Apple, which is revoked

What is kept, and for how long

  • Subscriptions are not cancelled by deleting your account. Apple or Google bills them; cancel in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings, ideally before you delete.
  • Purchase records held by Apple and Google, under their own retention policies. We also delete the copy kept by RevenueCat, which processes subscriptions for us.
  • Encrypted database backups, which are overwritten on a rolling schedule and gone within 30 days.
  • Messages you exchanged with other people remain on their phones.
  • Support emails you sent us, deleted within 24 months of the conversation ending.
